Brookfield made its first investment in the Brazilian logistics sector with the acquisition of two developments in São Paulo worth BRL 425 million.
Considered to be amongst the most modern logistics parks in the market, one of the developments is located in the municipality of Cabreúva, in the State of Sao Paulo. Close to the Anhanguera highway, an important interstate connection in São Paulo, the building consists of three BOMA-standard warehouses totaling 135,000 sqm in area, with the possibility of a further 25,000 sqm to be developed on the basis of a “build to suit” (BTS) arrangement.
The second building is in a prime location in the city of Guarulhos, close to the international airport and interstate highways and the outer São Paulo beltway. The building consists of four BOMA standard warehouses amounting to 55,000 sqm.
